Draft - Thursday Draft Notes



·         Mississippi State health report:  OF/LHP C.T. Bradford out 1-2 weeks with shoulder injury… IF/RHP Daryl Norris out 4-6 weeks (knee cap separation)… senior OF Brent Brownless out for season.

·         The Newark Bears were the 2011 Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League (PGCBL) champions and will return four players this summer from that roster: Erie Community College (2013) catcher Adam Grace, St. John Fisher College junior Sean Osterman,  Saginaw Valley State University’s pitchers Mike Saunders and Andrew Tidwell.

·         Providence H.S. (NC) beat Northwest Cabarrus, 4-2. Northwest SS Corey Seager had two home runs, while Providence pitcher Ty Buttrey took a no-hitter into the sixth inning.

·         Speed Checks:
