Teddy Stankiewicz

Cstank  has left a new comment on the post "2nd Round - #75 - RHP - Teddy Stankiewicz":
Looks like Teddy will not sign.  The Mets offer was less than slot even though slot would have gotten it done.  Disappointing.

  1. Callis says "standstill", not that he won't sign. We'll see. Would be a shame to miss out on this kid--he's quite good.

  2. Unfortunate. "Stanky" is a great nick name.

  3. Really? Just offer him slot money, we're under the cap at this point. He's the 2nd highest draft pick to not sign outside Mark Appel. I'd be real disappointed if we dont sign him!

  5. So much for that! We could have offered him up to $866,000 with no penalty and it sounds like we didnt offer much more than $500k for a 2nd round pick with a $680k slot #. We get the #76 draft pick next year, but it would have been nice to get this arm at kingsport to see what we got with him. This stuff annoys me and drives me nuts.

  6. They are saving funds for the trade deadline...they are still broke, regardless of the influx of cash through minority sales of the team. They need attendance up, so they'll sacrifice a second rounder to add a piece to the big club. Hopefully stirring up fan interest and raising revenues through ticket sales. That's my opinion

  7. Ya know, I just don't have any info on this, so I'll just chalk this up as a draft losee.

At least we still have Fernando Martinez, right?

  8. Teddy is going to be a big league pitcher. I may be biased because he is my cousin but if you spend time with the kid, his mental makeup is second to none. Despite some reports, he can dial it up to 96 if he has to. But he can pitch, not just throw. As a Mets fan as well, it's a shame they didn't get to slot.

  9. I should also mention that he was very excited about the prospect of being a NY Met. Kid's going to be working hard and maybe things will work out next year.

  10. Tell Teddy good luck from all of us and he needs to sadly remember that this is now a business, not a sport.

  11. Before you make your purchase, find out what the dealer does before he sells a previously owned forklift. If you or a loved one is seriously injured or killed in a forklift accident a prompt and thorough investigation by an experienced forklift accident attorney should be conducted in order to determine the cause.
