Monday night in Los Angeles the streaking Mets met the red hot Dodgers and the Dodgers scored 3 times in the bottom of the 6th inning and go on to beat the Mets 4-2. It was Jenrry Mejia vs Ricky Nolasco. The Mets got to Nolasco for 2 runs on 4 hits in the top of the 2nd inning. The Mets scoring on rbi singles by John Buck and Omar Quintanilla. Mejia had LA well in hand till the bottom of the 6th inning., when the Dodgers broke through for 3 runs. An rbi single by Adrian Gonzales scored Carl Crawford, but a throwing error by Juan Legares in center allowed Mark Ellis to score and Gonzales to make it to 3rd, where he scored the go head run on a sac-fly by Yasiel Puig. For a 3-2 lead. In the bottom of the 7th the Dodgers got an insurance run when Nick Punto hit is 2nd homer of the off Carlos Torres to cap the scoring. The Mets didn’t go down easy.
