Akeel Morris (W, 3-0) was outstanding: 3.0 IP, 0 R, 0 H, BB, 5 K. The 20 yr old Morris is having a stellar year in Brooklyn. In 30.1 IP, his ERA is 0.59, too many walks inflates his WHIP to 1.02, with a 12.46 K/9, 3.86 BB/9.

Starter Nicolas Debora: 4.1 IP. 3 R, 8 H, 0 BB, 4 K.

Rafael Guzman: 3-3, RBI, R.

DSL Mets2 (40-23) trip DSL Phillies (34-29) 5-2.

Adrian Almeida started and went 4.0 innings: 1 R, 0 ER, 3 H, BB, 5 K. Nice outing. W’s and L’s apparently don’t matter much in the DSL (perhaps appropriately so) since they really don’t bear as much on the pitcher’s abilities as do WHIP, K/9, BB/9, ERA, and a host of other Sabremetric stats.

Merandy Gonzalez (W, 4-1) relieved Almeida and went 3.2 innings: R, 4 H, BB, K.  Gonzalez ERA is 2.32.

Nabil Crismat (S, 7) was perfect for 1.1 innings, earning his 7th save. Crismat’s is a name that you may become familiar with. The 18 year old, in his 2nd year of pro ball, has an ERA of 1.43, a WHIP of 0.88, and 10.75 K/9, 2.87 BB/9.

John Mora: 3-3, 3B, BB, 2 RBI, R. We see Mora’s name in the highlights often.

Hengelbert Rojas: 1-4, 2B, RBI.

Alfredo Reyes: 2-4, BB, R.
