Akeel wants to skip all other levels and go right to the Mets as soon as possible, as he needs time to make the All Star team. Just kidding, but what can you say about this guy? Superb this year and last year, too, except for one bad 2013 outing, as I recall. Promote him to St Lucie soon.

What you can say about this guy is that he has always been playing against older guys, and now that he is catching up to his class, and learning how to pitch as he does, he really excels. His K rate has continually increased and his BB rate has decreased (although still too high) as he has matured. A promotion to St Lucie is not that far away, and if he continues to develop he could find himself pitching in the Bigs by 2016. Maybe even a Sept callup in 2015.

I know the stats look like he's never going to give up a hit, but he still needs work with his secondary pitches.

I think Herb is on target. St. Lucie after the all-star break... Binghamton in 2015
