FLUSHING, N.Y., May 7, 2021 – The New York Mets have
announced today that minor league RHP Matt Allan will undergo Tommy John
surgery to repair a partial
tear of the ulnar collateral ligament in the coming
weeks. Allan, the Mets third-round pick in the 2019 First-Year Player Draft,
underwent a physical examination and MRI that revealed the ligament tear
earlier this week. Mets Medical Director Dr. David Altchek has confirmed
the diagnosis.

Another Mets TJS.
