Clay Holmes has a sub-3 ERA
The Mets
have four starters with sub-3.00 ERAs through the first 65 games of the season:
Kodai Senga: 1.59 ERA
David Peterson: 2.80 ERA
Griffin Canning: 2.90 ERA
Clay Holmes: 2.95 ERA
It's the
first time the Mets have done that through 65 games since 1985

Pete has been so great. But Judge has been sick.
ReplyDeleteMegill has been dandy. On a pace for 210 Ks. I’d not rush Montas back.
Tom can't say I share your McGil enthusiasm. he can't go more than 5 innings. He has pitched better than I expected, but I still think he belongs in the bullpen.
ReplyDeleteMack, those defensive stats on Baty are amazing. Now if only he could hit. He pretty much had a good week but not much else.
Baty remains an inconsistent hitter; however, his defense is improving
DeleteJoeP, I don’t think they wanted Megill to go more than 5, so Blackburn’s could go 4.
ReplyDeleteI just saw the 2nd Megill run…a weird, slow cue shot that completely changed direction on Alonso and left him flat footed, so if not for that bizarro ball, he goes 5 innings, one run. He’d be a # 1 starter on some teams.
I saw that one. I actually told my brother about that. It was bazaar, he didn't know which way to move.
ReplyDeleteI know McGil is pitching well, but like a lifelong Met fan I am always expecting him to revert back to his former self.
