I'll give a scouting report. My record in witnessing these games in person thus far is not good. I have had 1 victory and 2 defeats.Reese Kaplanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12993445356545875409noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-592615130369356022.post-14587671374007439812015-08-14T09:49:34.375-04:002015-08-14T09:49:34.375-04:00Few things are less important than where a draft p...Few things are less important than where a draft pick plays the year he's drafted. That half season is more about getting adjusted to professional life and playing every day than anything else.

Instead, the complaints should be with the assignments the year after the player was drafted. And with having guys play three years of short-season ball.

Brian Jourahttp://mets360.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-592615130369356022.post-23063236152554768742015-08-14T08:46:01.462-04:002015-08-14T08:46:01.462-04:00Boy oh boy, I was so happy to see that listing of ...Boy oh boy, I was so happy to see that listing of Mets high A ball prospects. Conforto has long since left A ball, as has Akeel Morris (who is doing well in AA), but the best defensive slots for Amed Rosario and Dom Smith were welcome to see. But I was excited to see Jeff McNeil picked as best defensive 2B. He really has a fine all-around game, except power. Hit the weights, Jeff, and the majors won't be that far away.

I agree with Mike on Kevin Kaczmarski and particularly Pat Mazelka. One is doing great, the other even greater. I can't see how promoting them now and demoting 2 guys to Kingsport (who should do better vs. Appalachian League pitching) should be a problem. Both those guys should be promoted to full season ball in 2016. I'd like to see Mazelka start in St Lucie in 2016 - he has been superb.

Nationals lost again, let's go Mets. Pray for a swift and healthy return for Wright and Matz. Let's win a World Series.Tom Brennanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01032383157195393857noreply@blogger.com
