I watch David Thompson stats in single A. But with those three alone that's potentially an all star infield. Would you consider a Neil Walker trade and bring up Dilson Herrera if the intention is to let him walk as a FA at year's end anyway? I guess the question is whether the return on a Walker trade exceeds the potential of a supplemental draft pick plus the risk of Herrera not equaling the final couple of months of Walker productivity in orange and blue. He has always been a continually improving but high K guy who beats up lefties, struggles with righties.

This year, just 3 for 26 vs. lefties so far but killing righties (.357/.435/.622 in about 115 plate appearances vs. righties, which is about what his stats were vs. lefties last year).

You have to figure the drop off vs. lefties is a temporary fluke, so I am real interested to see how he progresses as the season wears on.

He now (in 2015 and 2016) has 162 AAA games under his belt, with a .400 on base %, .540 slug % and 69 extra base hits. Maybe a Sept call up.Tom Brennanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01032383157195393857noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-592615130369356022.post-8451293532707751072016-05-17T10:18:10.763-04:002016-05-17T10:18:10.763-04:00I would be more excited if we called up someone ot...I would be more excited if we called up someone other than Reynolds..Dallashttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07966349028036306647noreply@blogger.com
