I love where the team is at right now but I truly feel getting Ces back was more luck on sandy's part than skill. It got to a point that he almost had no choice but to get Ces backBadRaZoRhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08060722060711414785noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-592615130369356022.post-21896823187587708872016-02-04T15:47:54.977-05:002016-02-04T15:47:54.977-05:00Tom,

With Den Dekker dealt for Blevins the year before, the Mets have depleted their LH/defensive 5th OF options that can play CF. Nimmo needs AAA ABs and according to reports is not the CF glove that the other three were. So, de Aza is somewhat of a necessity now, at least from the get go. In retrospect, I would rather have spent that $6 million on Tyler Clippard, but at the end of the day de Aza was an insurance policy in case Cespedes signed elsewhere. As Mack has said repeatedly, it's not our money, Who cares what they spend on a 5th OF.TPhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09371738018453201276noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-592615130369356022.post-30371265499835300522016-02-04T14:41:56.289-05:002016-02-04T14:41:56.289-05:00De Aza as the 5th outfielder is a HUGE step forwar...De Aza as the 5th outfielder is a HUGE step forward than what the Mets were filling the roster out with over the past few years.

I'm thankful.bgreg98180https://www.blogger.com/profile/05641039400307113366noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-592615130369356022.post-15502279782706293952016-02-04T13:44:06.672-05:002016-02-04T13:44:06.672-05:00Zozo, maybe Kirk breaks out this year, but he just...Zozo, maybe Kirk breaks out this year, but he just struck out far too much for my tastes. De Aza is better, and if he gets us 2 more wins than Kirk would, that is very much worth it to me. We got into the playoffs last year almost miraculously, and I'd prefer quality in all 25 spots starting in 2016 so when we win, we can say the team structure made total sense in retrospect.Tom Brennanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01032383157195393857noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-592615130369356022.post-74964069967532702102016-02-04T09:44:51.854-05:002016-02-04T09:44:51.854-05:00Frank - Just trying to be nice about that signingFrank - Just trying to be nice about that signingMack Adehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09730548449011685243noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-592615130369356022.post-41602595929750519232016-02-04T09:43:54.555-05:002016-02-04T09:43:54.555-05:00Thomas -
