Include Flores in there too, and I am on board.Tom Brennanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01032383157195393857noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-592615130369356022.post-86899561433518827482015-09-05T12:05:01.500-04:002015-09-05T12:05:01.500-04:00I'm not worried about 10-15 HR power if he can...I'm not worried about 10-15 HR power if he can get OB at a .370-.380 clip.Michael S.https://www.blogger.com/profile/10592189867244144200noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-592615130369356022.post-34270989146839410862015-09-05T10:26:05.529-04:002015-09-05T10:26:05.529-04:00Nimmo had 3 homers in his first 102 games this yea...Nimmo had 3 homers in his first 102 games this year, then a homer in each of the last 2. I sense a shift.

Just joking but 3 homers in his first 102 games puts him well behind TJ Rivera, who everyone critiques as lacking any real prospect power.

So Nimmo has to target at least a 15 homer pace next year. We don't need another Dave Magadan.

He is just .269/.362/.372 in AA/AAA this year, while Travis Taijeron in slightly more at bats is .278/.396/.543, with 25 homers in 385 official at bats. And few see Taijeron as a future major leaguer. Nimmo clearly has only bettered Taijeron in his lower K rate...but Taijeron otherwise crushes Nimmo, who has a LONG way to go.Tom Brennanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01032383157195393857noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-592615130369356022.post-69640506436909920632015-09-05T10:20:56.592-04:002015-09-05T10:20:56.592-04:00Conforto, d'Arnaud, Nimmo, Cecchini, and Herre...Conforto, d'Arnaud, Nimmo, Cecchini, and Herrera are looking like they can form the nucleus of the lineup for a long time to come. The Mets also have other position prospects who can play roles, although I'd hold off for now as I'd like to see 1-2 vets added to the lineup in a couple of years once this group matures and there's no way to know what will transpire and who might be available.Michael S.https://www.blogger.com/profile/10592189867244144200noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-592615130369356022.post-9218998081179970752015-09-05T10:16:28.170-04:002015-09-05T10:16:28.170-04:00Nimmo!!!Nimmo!!!Michael S.https://www.blogger.com/profile/10592189867244144200noreply@blogger.com
