We can finish last without you."

You know the Mets are not going to pony up and pay their two aces what they're worth. And before you think this is the usual "Wilpons are cheap" rant, there's a validity to the business model of replenishing with lower cost talent. The problem is that Sandy Alderson/John Ricco have no eye for talent. Omar Minaya does. Let him do what he does best and start a bidding war for the aces. You should net a minimum of six solid new players for the two of them around whom you can build. Hopefully four of them pan out. Right now there's not a lot of "there" there.

Going into next season you have no one penciled in at 2B, Frazier may be dealt thus creating a vacancy at 3B, no catcher, no TRUE centerfielder and not a lot of cash. I think building for the future is the way to go. Thought you would find it amusing.

Me?

I change my desires here almost overnight.

Right now, I want both Jake and Thor signed through 2023. I'd like to take those two off the table and build a new team with them, Gsellman, Lugo, Drew Smith, McNeil, Alonso, Rosario, Conforto, and Nimmo.

We're probably stuck with the Cespedes contract so we might as well play him when he is healthy.

Past that, I would offer uo Matz to the Yanks for two chips.Mack Adehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09730548449011685243noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-592615130369356022.post-27944064281862104502018-06-21T11:44:39.215-04:002018-06-21T11:44:39.215-04:00One other thing.......don't you love all the Y...One other thing.......don't you love all the Yankee fans who want one of our "aces" for less then they got for half a season of Aroldis Chapman?

Both Jake and Noah are young, cost effective and under control for multiple seasons, so the price is going to be HIGH!
