LAST GAME:
The B-Mets split the four-game series with Trenton
Sunday thanks to a 7-1 win on a day where the bullpen
was asked to make the start. Four different relievers combined
to hold the Thunder to one run scattering nine hits.
Edgar Ramirez made his third career start and gave Binghamton
three scoreless innings. Then Edgar Alfonzo offered up
three scoreless innings as well and was credited with the win,
his fourth of the season. Stephen Clyne followed it up with the
two innings, allowing the only run of the game in the eighth
inning and Roy Merritt sealed the deal with a scoreless ninth.
The B-Mets got on the board first in the third when Ruben
Tejada knocked a single off the glove of Trenton starter Wilkin
De La Rosa to score Carl Loadenthal from third. De La Rosa
went 4.2 innings giving up five runs on five hits with three
walks. The B-Mets big inning was the fifth as six straight
reached with two outs bringing six runs to score. The big blow
came from Loadenthal who cleared the bases with a triple
down the first-base line to give the B-Mets a 6-0 lead. Josh
Petersen finished off the rally tripling after Loadenthal to
score Carl and make it 7-0. Loadenthal went 2-3 with 3 RBIs.
