Hey, Mack, help me out. There's a bunch of guys who played with Brooklyn last year who looked promising but have disappeared from the radar screen. Do you know where they've gone?
ReplyDeleteJordan Abruzzo
Kyle Suire
Pedro P Martinez
Yury Santana
Sure...
ReplyDeleteAbruzzo was in extended camp earlier this year (I spoke with him there) and I assume he still is hoping he's not the odd man out. Strange that he isn't on one of the top 5 Mets minor league teams. He can sure hit.
Suire is on suspension for 50-games for you know what
Pedro P.is in extended... I expected him to make the Clones, but maybe he'll resurface at K-Port
Santana was released by the team.

I don't know much about the situation, but I'm surprised by the Santana release. He was spectacular for the Cyclones last year, but I wonder at 26 if the Mets didn't forsee him as a wise investment. I knew Suire was suspended but I thought he would have been eligible to return by now. I agree on Abruzzo...he certainly looks like a better catching prospect than Rafael Arroyo or Mike Nickeas.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, any word on Caleb Stewart? He's hurt, right?
You sure do know you're stuff. Thanks for the info!
Thanks for the compliment.
ReplyDeleteSuire really pissed off the brass, though I'm sure he'll be on one of the rosters by the end of the week; however, he really knocked himself (like Junior Guerra)down a peg or two in the pecking order.
No word on Stewart, who I had hoped would have gone to Buffalo this spring. The Mets are very quiet about rehab.
Re: Santana: age was the factor... you better be in the majors by 26 or you're never getting there.
