Someone must have talked to the team between games because St. Lucie came out of the gate with five runs in the 1st inning, including a grand slam from my good buddy, OF Carlos Guzman. Guzman is one of those rare, undrafted, stateside players (from Brooklyn) that is making the experts look bad.
2B Greg Veloz was picked off early in the first game, pulled for a pinch hitter, and never came back for game two… either in the dog house or on the way to Binghamton.
Zach Lutz is starting to hit like a first baseman. He hit his 4th homer in the 3rd. He went 3-3 for the night.
Then Reese Havens joined the fun, hitting his 8th homer of the season.
Give RP Emary Frederick, who has spent most of the past week in an airplane, his props… 2.0 scoreless innings… 3.03 AA ERA.
