TODAY’S GAME:

Tonight, the Buffalo Bisons play the second game of a four-game series against the Toledo Mud Hens at Coca-Cola Field (7:05 p.m.). The Herd lost the first game of the series last night, 6-2. After this four-game series, the Bisons will leave for an eight-game roadtrip to Louisville and Indianapolis. vs.

THE HENS:

Tonight’s game is the second match-up between the Bisons and the Mud Hens this season. The Herd has now played every team in the IL with the loss last night to Toledo. Buffalo won the season-series a year ago, 5-3, thanks to a series win at Fifth Third Field. The Bisons have not lost a set to Toledo at Coca-Cola Field since the 2003 season (one win and four splits).

NIESE TO HAVE YOU:

LHP Jonathon Niese looks to continue his hot streak as he takes the mound tonight for his 16th start of the season. The southpaw has four wins and no losses in his last five starts. In this stretch, Niese has an astonishing 0.83ERA, with 10 walks to 40 strikeouts. He has only allowed four earned runs over his last 43.1 innings pitched. This season, the pitcher has a Bisons-leading 80 strikeouts to only 24 walks.

MR. DEPENDABLE: OF Jesus Feliciano has been the most consistent hitter for the Herd all season. The outfielder continued to swing a hot bat with three hits in five attempts last night. Feliciano currently has an eight-game hitting streak in which he has batted 12-31 with a .387 average. The Bison slugger currently leads the team in batting average (.308), RBI (34), as well as stolen bases (11). His .308 average is also good for 9th best in the IL.

REY TO BE:

INF Argenis Reyes started up right where he left off in his first game back to the Herd from his three-week stint with the New York Mets. The infielder had three hits last night as leadoff man in the Bisons batting order. Over his last 19 games with the Herd, Reyes has an impressive .351 average (27-77) with nine runs scored and 11RBI. Overall, the infielder is second on the team in batting average (.306), with 19 runs scored and 13 RBI in 46 games played.
