The 2009 season was another successful one for the Brooklyn Cyclones, both on and off the field, and the team would like to again thank its loyal fans for helping to create the best environment in all of minor league baseball.The '09 Cyclones led the league in attendance for the ninth straight season, qualified for the playoffs for the sixth time in nine years, garnered national acclaim for some of the season's most creative promotions, featured an outstanding pitching staff that included two of the league's best individual campaigns, tossed the first no-hitter in franchise history, and welcomed stars like Tommy Lasorda, David Wright, Carlos Beltran, and Oliver Perez to Brooklyn.264,102 fans spun the turnstiles at KeySpan Park this season, for an average of 7,138 fans per game in 37 openings. The Cyclones were the only team in the league to average over 7,000 fans per game, far outpacing the second-place team (Aberdeen, 6,502). The 2009 attendance brings Brooklyn's all-time total to over 2.5 million -- 2,607,552 -- in the franchise's first nine seasons.
