Mike Jacobs Reports to Buffalo

Mike Jacobs has agreed to report to Buffalo.

Obviously, this means that:

    1. Mike Jacobs isn't done playing baseball

    2. He has been given word that he will not sit on the bench.

This doesn't change anything long term for the Mets... Jacobs' days of playing in Queens are over. What it does do is give the Bisons another bat to help them win the division,

My guess is Mike Hessman (.298/.375/.638/1.013) moves back to 3B and Chris Carter (.294/.333/.608/.941) will split time with Jacobs at DH and 1B.

If humanly possibly, Carter just fell further back in the pecking order.
