Minor Rags: Bobby Livingston, Eric Niesen's Injury, Robert Carson... and Jeff Flagg,

Bisons:

The PawSox used power and patience to earn the victory as Kevin Frandsen and Daniel Nava had home runs. Frandsen's homer with one out in the first got them on the board; following a single and a double, back-to-back walks to Mark Wagner and Dusty Brown by Herd starter Bobby Livingston gave Pawtucket a 2-0, first-inning lead. Wagner and Nava drew walks around a Brown double in the fourth inning to load the bases again against Livingston. Sacrifice flies from Matt Sheely and Josh Reddick pushed the PawSox's lead to 4-1. - link

B-Mets:

Two days after Binghamton Mets starting pitcher Eric Niesen walked off the field at NYSEG Stadium after a harrowing scene, there were still no clear answers about his status. The team's Opening Day starter was drilled in the back of the head by a throw from his catcher, Mike Nickeas, who was attempting to throw out a base-stealer Friday night. "I think there was some testing done, and the medical staff is grappling with that right now, with what they're going to do," manager Tim Teufel said Sunday. - link

Lucy:

The Bradenton Marauders took two out of three from the St. Lucie Mets with a 2-1 victory on Monday at Digital Domain Park. The Marauders scored a run in the second inning and one in the fifth. The Mets scored their run in the bottom of the second on back-to-back doubles by Sean Ratliff and Stefan Welch. The loss went to Robert Carson (0-3) who struck out seven in five innings.- link

Gnats:

Hickory's bats got the best of the Gnats' pitchers, who entered the day collectively with a 2.76 earned run average - second-best in the SAL. Christian Santana, Vinny DiFazio and Edward Koncel each hit a home run. Michael Ortiz, who entered with a .171 batting average, had four hits to raise his average to 68 points. Jeff Flagg homered for the Gnats. Wilmer Flores was hitless in five at bats and had a 10-game hitting streak snapped. Alex Gregory had two hits and now has six hits in his last nine at bats.- link
