Savannah 3, Lexington 0

from Legends press release:

Darin Gorski and two relievers combined to shut out Lexington on four hits, and Savannah recorded its second straight shutout win with a 3-0 victory over the Legends Monday night at Applebee's Park

Gorski, a left-hander, pitched six and two-thirds innings and allowed three hits and two walks. He struck out four batters. Guillaume Le Duc worked through the eighth, and Marcos Tabata picked up his first save with a perfect ninth inning.

Savannah scored a run in the top of the first inning. Alonzo Harris led off with a single. He went to second on an errant pickoff attempt by Lexington starter Juan Minaya and scored on a single to right field by Cesar Puello.

The 1-0 lead stood until the eighth inning, when the Sand Gnats added two more runs. Puello reached on an error by shortstop Jiovanni Mier. With one out, Puello stole second. It was his 37th steal of the year and moved him into a tie for third in the South Atlantic League. Puello moved to third on an infield out and, after R.J. Harris walked, Puello scored on a passed ball charged to Rene Garcia. Juan Torres then doubled to score Harris, giving Savannah its final margin of 3-0.

Gorski (4-5) was the winning pitcher. Minaya (4-10), who allowed one unearned run and three hits through six innings, took the loss.
