R.I.P. - Calvin Coolidge Julius Caesar Tuskahoma McLish

Cal McLish

Before Cal McLish was 20 years old, he'd spent a full season with the Brooklyn Dodgers and served in the U.S. Army near the end of World War II. Cal McLish, an Oklahoma native and former Major League Baseball player, died Thursday at the age of 84. “It's amazing what he was able to accomplish,” Edmond Memorial athletic director Mike de la Garza said Thursday. “We are so honored to have known him, and he'll be greatly missed.” De la Garza had grown close to McLish in the last decade, regularly playing golf with him at KickingBird in Edmond. McLish was inducted into the Oklahoma Sports Hall of Fame last August, but his health had deteriorated since then.-  http://newsok.com/article/3488946?utm_source=web&utm_medium=twitter#ixzz0xwxOIBGA
