The Brooklyn Cyclones are inviting young fans to participate in a unique art contest, with the winning baseball design to be produced into a 2011 giveaway item at a game in late August!
Students between the ages of 5-16 have the opportunity to submit a baseball design themed around Brooklyn or the Cyclones- for consideration. A Cyclones panel will determine five finalists, whose designs will be posted on the team’s official website, brooklyncyclones.com. Fans will then vote online for their favorite design. The top five artists will be invited out to the Cyclones game on Wednesday, June 22, for a special pre game ceremony and meet and greet opportunity with the team.
“After the great success our YOUniform contest had in 2010, we wanted to give the young fans another opportunity to showcase their work with the Brooklyn Cyclones,” said Cyclones General Manager Steve Cohen,
The winner will receive a Cyclones prize pack: 24 of your design baseballs to share with your family and friends, and will throw out a ceremonial first pitch on the day their ball is given away (date TBD). All entries will be showcased in an “art show” at the ballpark’s Brooklyn Baseball Gallery at the Finalist Date on June 22, 2011.
