Stock: Chris Schwinden, Collin McHugh, Brandon Nimmo, Michael Fulmer, Cory Mazzoni

8-19-11: - Stock Up – SP Chris Schwinden – Schwinden wanted to make sure everyone still is considering him for the 2012 Mets rotation. Friday nights stats: 5.2-IP, 0-R, 4-H, 6-K, 1-BB. The season ERA is now 3.60.

8-20-11: - Stock Up – SP Colin McHugh - You just knew that McHugh would have his adrenalin up pitching in Fenway Park Saturday afternoon. His line: 6.0-IP (does any Met pitcher ever go past six innings?), 0-R, 4-H, 6-K, 1-BB, 3.33. I can’t wait to read his blog tomorrow morning.

8-21-11: - Stock Up – CF Brandon Nimmo – Well, you knew it was only a matter of time before we’d be writing about Nimmo’s first professional multi-hit games. He went 2-5 today for the GCL Mets, which raised him embryonic batting average to .273. It’s just great to have him in uniform and playing.

8-21-11: - Stock Down – SP – Michael Fulmer – Fulmer threw his third professional outing Sunday and, so far, he might be dreaming about college. First outing: 0.2-IP, 3-ER… 2nd outing: 0.1-IP, rainstorm… today: 2.1-IP, 2-ER. A positive sign was five strikeouts today. I’m sure he’s just getting his feet wet.

8-21-11: - Stock Up – RP – Cory Mazzoni – Since signing with the Mets, Mazzoni is quietly pitching out of the St. Lucie pen and had another great outing on Sunday: 2.0-IP, 0-R, 0-H, 0-BB, 2-K. That’s a combined 10 outings for Brooklyn/St. Lucie and a 0.82 ERA.
