ALOT of very interesting names in the starting pitcher category that I wouldn't mind seeing signed. Take away the first few names(I'm sure the mets will too) and then there is some intriguing possibilities. Willis, Vasquez, Marquis.
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't mind taking another crack at Chris Young. Might be able to get him on a minor league deal now.
ReplyDeleteJoel Piniero, Jason Marquis, Brandon Webb, and Dontrelle Willis are some guys I'd add via a low 1 yr deal salary with incentives based on health/performance to boost it up.
I'd be very concerned having two pitchers coming off shoulder surgery in the rotation. One is bound to go down. Piniero would be a great choice, but i think too expensive for the Mets. Like I said, definatly some good possibilities.
