Thoughts:
There has been a surprising amount of trading between these two division rivals.
This is easily the most talented $68mil payroll team in baseball.
The 7-year/$126mil contract for RF Jayson Werth is so opposite of everything this team has done in the past.
The Gio Gonzalez trade really didn't change muc for the Nats. They add a great pitcher and only lose prospects that were really not in the picture in 2012.

Summary Suggestion:
They still need an outfielder, someting the Mets can't help them with.
This.team is going to be great in three or four years. What a great draft in 2011. The nl east, in two or three years, will be stacked. Perhaps the best division in baseball. Phillies are getting older, but obviously have the cash to keep a winning team on the field(like yankees). Braves are going to have a great young pitching staff. Florida, we'll see....they kind of went about the offseason the same way the Mets used to. Those signings might actually cripple them in three years if no one shows up to the stadium and Reyes is unhealthy. The nats though, are going to be great. Harper, Strasburg, Rendon, Purke, Goodwin, the Zimmermans, Gonzalez....and I don't even know anything about the rest of their system.
