FLASH SOURCES: - Mets DSL Facility Put up for Lease

Multiple sources have told me today that the state-of-the-art DSL facilities of the New York Mets have been listed for lease.

I have also been told that hourly workers in various minor league affiliates are been told to pack up before Christmas.

Unbelievable.

  1. Okay... so... Selig... Perhaps you should step in... LIKE NOW!

  2. They could put a "For Sale - CHEAP" sign on Citi Field and Selig still wouldn't step in. Not while his buddy Fred owns the team. It makes me physically ill to watch the team's reputation get dragged through the mud like this.

  3. Wait, so the Gcl team is gone and now they're getting rid of their two dsl teams and renting the facility to someone else? They're going to have to cut a shit load of players. Someday, we'll be hearing about some slugger who the mets cut back in the day when they had to slash 33% of their minor league system.. Had nine teams, abolishing three of them, six left. There's no two ways about it, they are so broke its not even funny.

  5. I buried a close friend today so excuse the bad fucking mood I'm in... but, for the first time since I began doing this seven years ago... I have had no desire to write about this team today.
