Buffalo 3, New Orleans 1
March 28, 2012 –The Buffalo Bisons defeated the New Orleans Zephyrs, 3-1, this afternoon from Port St. Lucie, FL.
The Herd (1-4-3) has just three exhibition games left on their spring training schedule. The club has a camp day on Thursday and will face the Memphis Redbirds on Friday, March 30 from Jupiter, FL.
The Bisons will end their spring training on April 1 to head up to Buffalo for the start of the 2012 season.
On Wednesday, the Bisons got a two-run home run from INF MATT TUIASOSOPO. The 25-year old spent the entire 2011 season with Triple-A Tacoma and hit .226 (99-439) with 20 doubles, six triples, 14 home runs and 77 RBI in 116 games.
OF SEAN RATLIFF also went 2-3 with an RBI-single on Thursday while OF RAUL REYES finished the game 1-3.
LHP MARK COHOON earned the win for Buffalo. The southpaw allowed just an unearned run in five innings of work.
There are just 14 days until Opening Day at Coca-Cola Field. The Bisons host the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees on Wednesday, April 11 with a 2:05 p.m. first pitch. Tickets and ticket packages are on sale at Bisons.com.
