Glad to see that upper management is holding players accountable for their performances. First Carrasco, now Acosta. Quintanilla. Quintanilla and Egbert wont be here long however.
Methinks Egbert will get DFA'd once Beato is healthy and ready to go. Quintanilla gets DFA'd once Cedeno and Tejeda are back thus opening a spot for Young and sending the worse of Schwinny or Hefner down.
Get Thole back and Johnson goes down. Get Bay back and Rottino goes. The exciting thing is that all these scenarios will be in effect within the next week or so.
Just goes to show you how Volatile relief pitchers are and how little sense it makes to throw big money at them other than the closer. (Not like Acosta or Carrasco were making big bucks.
I dont think Acosta has the veterans option available so if he clears waivers there may be a chance the Mets hold onto him in Buffalo.

I was so happy when the Mets got this guy.
ReplyDeleteI was also happy the day they signed Alay Soler.
