That really stinks. I have always hoped Puello would put it all together and be that "total package" in an outfielder, at the very LEAST giving us another great trade chip. I guess it's "next season" for him...
it's too late in the season to rush him back, plus the team has the best record in minor league baseball...
the problem with him is next year... he will have to start at A+ for third year and be fighting for a starting job with Brandon Nimmo, Gilbert Gomez, and Courtney Hawkins
its not a season ending injury. he should be back by the beg of august at the latest. pablo sandoval had it its a 4-6 weeks thing. even zach lutz has it. its not a season ending injury.hopefully hell be back soon and gets a taste of double a.
Well pablo sandoval is due to play in minor league rehab games next week and that would be 4 weeks after his surgery. hes due in the major leagues 5 weeks after the injury/surgery. i dont know about the specifics but puello should be back and get plenty of at bat considering its the same injury.

ReplyDeleteit IS a season-ending injury at this point of the season...
ReplyDeletethe season ends at the end of Sept - around 17 weeks from now - the healing is 5-7 weeks... getting strength back about 5-10 more... total range 10-17
