"El" was ready for AAA two years ago and got injured... then, Washington took him in the Rule 5 draft... he never pitched for them due to the healing time for that injury and the Nats returned him to the Mets.
I know him and have followed him since his first year in Carribean ball. He "sits 95-97" and has hit 100. He, like most youngers have to learn to control and position the heater.
It looks like he's doing that now.
Bob... BTW... would you like to become one of the Mack's Mets writers?

ReplyDelete'El' was and remains my dark horse for the 2013 closer
Good combo with Josh Edgin assuming he is ready.
