2013 Draft-Notes - John Sewald, Austin Grisham, Summer Games, School Commitments


OF John Sewald, Arizona State -- The Sun Devils will have a solid infusion of young talent this fall, and Sewald is a talented freshman who can help right off the bat. He had a very solid summer at the CCL, hitting .316 with two doubles, a triple and 20 RBIs. He also had an OBP over .400. PG

Cape League - Phil Ervin from Harwich wins League MVP… Joe Caraco wins the 2012 Curly Clement Award for his officiating… Harwich wins East Division Championship trophy… Cotuit's Dan Slania earns Top Relief Pitcher award… 10th Man Award goes to Orleans' Jake Hernandez

Perfect Game -  This year's Jackie Robinson award for the HS player of the year goes to Clint Frazier!

Rob Kaminsky‏ -  Baseball America Pitcher of The Year! Thank u!!

Aaron Fitt‏ - New Mariners RHP Matt Anderson (NDFA from LBSU) - FB 87-89, T91 this spring, now up to 92-94, T96.

MO: Jake Perry, a catcher from Webster Groves HS, has committed to Valparaiso University

CB Daily‏ -  Brett Haan commits to Purdue 

OF Austin Grisham, Eastern Kentucky -- Grisham has put together quite a consistent year on the baseball diamond. He batted over .300 for the Colonels this past season, and he took a step forward this summer, hitting .309 with four doubles, two triples, a home run and 33 RBIs. The one area he could improve in is reducing strikeouts. He also had 24 stolen bases. PG
