2013 New York Yankees Top 16 Prospects

the whole list...  http://mlbdirt.com/2013/03/19/2013-new-york-yankees-top-16-prospects/

Gary Sanchez (20-C)Sanchez may need more time to develop behind the plate, and he may never be average back there, but his arm is plus and I like his chances to remain at catcher where his bat, good enough to profile at any position, will be All-Star caliber with a plus hit tool and plus power. He can expand the zone and needs better pitch recognition but he has the highest ceiling in the system and a fair shot at reaching it. -Jonathan C. Mitchell
2Mason Williams (21-OF)Williams has the chance to be a plus defender in center with a good arm. At the plate, he has very good bat speed and projects to hit 15 homeruns with the chance to hit 20 and his speed will be an asset on the bases. He has solid tools across the board at a premium position, just needs more polish. -JCM
3Tyler Austin (21-OF)Austin is very polished and has a plus hit tool and 20 homerun power. He is limited to a corner spot but his athleticism will make him above-average there and his bat and approach are good enough to warrant a high ranking. -JCM
4Slade Heathcott (22-OF)Heathcott plays the game the right way and fans will love that about him. But he is oft-inured and may need to tone down a bit. He is a gifted athlete with tools that rival almost anyone in the system. He is above-average-to-plus across the board but has a major swing-and-miss problem that could keep his AVG down. -JCM
5Ty Hensley (19-RHP)Like any young arm, Hensley can lose command, but he has a fastball that reaches mid-90s and a potentially plus curve. His change-up is below-average but he has an ideal frame at 6’4″ and 220 lbs and could be a very durable starter with the upside of a #2 or #3 starter. -JCM
