Gonzalez Germen, - 2009 UDFA - 4-yr Met minor league career - 22-25, 4.05, 353-IP, 303-K, 90-BB - Germen is a basic control pitcher that is know for eating innings He really hasn't done much wrong. His best year was in Savannah (7-7, 3.93) and he hit the wall where everyone else does, AA-ball. My guess is he would survive the process and the Mets would offer him a return to, at least, AA ball.
Darin Gorski, - I did find his name a little bit surprising on this list. Wasn't it like yesterday that they Mets said they were considering using him as a MLB reliever in 2013? Look, it's tough to find a major league lefty and Gorski looks promising as a future pen candidate. I wouldn't be too quick to give up on this guy.
Reese Havens, - Sadly, this chapter is over in Mets history. Like Jason Bay is proving, that doesn't mean his baseball career is over, but no one will pick up Havens and I can't see the Mets inviting him back either.
Juan Lagares, - Juan is a nice guy. It must be hard for him to realize that a team short on outfielders doesn't consider him a candidate for a future position. I expect him to survive this process and, due to shortage of outfields, he'll be back in the Las Vegas outfield.
Cesar Puello, - Puello could be another story. The Mets may be done with him because of his PED issues, but I expect other teams will scoop up this ex-prospect, whose value has only been diminished because of ticky-tacky injuries.
Elvin Ramirez - A sad case of a great minor league pitcher that just can't mentally make the conversion to the majors. I really liked this guy.
Hansel Robles. - a scout told me the only reason Robles was put on the Rule 5 was so he could be marketed later for a trade. Strange fucking sport sometimes.
