MLB DIRT - 2013 Baltimore Orioles Top 16 Prospects

2013 Baltimore Orioles Top 16 Prospects

PlayerComments
1Dylan Bundy (20-RHP)What is left to say about Bundy that has not been said? He is the best pitching prospect in the game with a plus fastball, plus cutter/slider, plus control, plus curveball, plus change-up… you get the idea. He is only twenty years old and could be the ace of the O’s in short time. -Jonathan C. Mitchell
2Kevin Gausman (22-RHP)Last year’s first round pick, Gausman is already armed with a plus fastball and still has room to add muscle to his 6’4″ frame. The Change-up is a plus pitch and the slider has a shot to be above-average. He has the makings of a great #2 starter with an outside shot to be an ace. -JCM
3Jonathan Schoop (21-2B/3B)I am not as high on him as others but I see the potentioal. He has a good swing that leads to a lot of line-drives and moderate power. He has played 3B, 2B, and SS, but fits best at 3B, for me, but he can prove to handle 2B he has the chance to be very good and his offensive profile won’t be as demanding. -JCM
4Eduardo Rodriguez (19-LHP)He will play all year at age 20 and saw a nice boost in his velo last year. He throws strikes but lacks a true out pitch but if the fastball velo holds he has a near plus offering in it. -JCM
5Nick Delmonico (20-1B/3B) Shows a good approach at the plate and has a good hit tool but power is average and I don’t see him playing anywhere but 1B where he might have to hit .300 to be a starter. -JCM
