Observation
– It’s no big secret that
the Yankees came off short with the Russell Martin departure. Cervelli is not
the long term answer and Gary Sanchez is, at
least, a year away.
In addition,
the Yankees like having a veteran catcher handling their head cases on the mound.
This team is a perfect fit for a long term contract for Buck.
Now, all you
have to do is get the Yanks to trade with the Mets. The history is bad here,
but this could be the perfect win/win situation between these teams.
There are
plenty of outfield and SP prospects here to build a packake. None are 5 star,
so you might be able to get two guys for one. I really don’t care which one’s
they are, as long as they are healthy.
Would think the Yanks would be too afraid of having a prospect traded to the Mets turn into an all star.
ReplyDeleteOF Mason Williams and RHP Mark Montgomery.
ReplyDeleteJustin: Always have
ReplyDeleteMichael, that's more than we can expect for Buck. I don't think the Yanks would part with Montgomery, as they regard him as Mariano's long term replacement. WE'd be fortunate to get Williams and a throw in.
ReplyDeleteThat's what I'm asking for...if it winds up Williams and a throw-in I could live with that.
