Observation – The Mets aren’t going to care who they trade Buck to as a loaner. The Phillies would have no desire to pay him long term since they have two catching prospects ready next year. However, Buck’s bat could be the difference in a race against the Braves.

This is another wild card chance that could get the Mets a young starter.
