BINGHAMTON STARTING PITCHER: RHP Jacob deGrom makes his seventh start of the season for the B-Mets. He earned his first Double-A win in his last start, 5/15 v AKR. The Florida native threw 7.0 innings and allowed four runs on eight hits. deGrom was called up to Binghamton on 4/16 after six starts with the St. Lucie Mets. He was 1-0 in those starts. He has gone at least 5.0 innings in each of his six starts with the B-Mets, and opponents are batting .288 against him.

NEW BRITAIN STARTING PITCHER: RHP Trevor May makes his ninth start of the season for the Rock Cats. He matched his shortest outing of the season in his last start, throwing only 4.0 innings 5/16 @ BOW. He allowed five runs on nine hits in his second loss of the season. This is May’s first season in the Twin’s organization. In 2012, he went 10-13 in 28 starts with the Reading Phillies. Over this past offseason, he was traded from Philadelphia along with P Vance Worthy to the Twins for OF Ben Revere.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK: OF Cory Vaughn was named Eastern League Player of the Week for the week of May 13-19. During that stretch, Vaughn hit .400 (10-25) with nine RBI. His week was highlighted when he launched the first B-Met grand slam of the season against the Akron Aeros on 5/15. Vaughn currently leads the team with 27 RBI, and is second on the team with a .305 batting average.

DYKSTRA DIALED IN: In Monday’s 6-3 win, Allan Dykstra led the offense going 2-for-4 with four RBI.
