LAST GAME: The B-Mets scored the game-winning run on a Portland throwing error in the bottom of the 10th, as they walked off against the Sea Dogs 3-2 Saturday night. Binghamton fell behind early for the second consecutive night against Portland. After Logan Verrett retired the first eight batters of the game, he gave up three consecutive singles in the third inning to put Portland on top 2-0. After those three singles, Verrett retired the next 13 batters he faced. Offensively, the B-Mets were held scoreless by Drake Britton. His night ended after five innings, and he allowed only two base hits. In the eighth inning, Danny Muno led off with a walk. Josh Rodriguez then hit a two-run shot over the right field wall to tie the game 2-2. Muno walked again to lead off the 10th against Will Latimer. Rodriguez bunted him to second base, and Cesar Puello was intentionally walked to put runners at first and second. Allan Dykstra then sent a ground ball to Portland first baseman Travis Shaw. When he tossed it to Latimer covering the first, it sailed past the pitcher and Muno scored to win the game.
BINGHAMTON STARTING PITCHER: RHP Rafael Montero starts for the ninth time this season as a B-Met, and his first against the Sea Dogs. He was sent to Las Vegas (AAA) for one start his last time out; Montero was tagged with the loss after allowing two runs in 6.2 innings on the mound. He cruised through the first six innings without allowing a run, but gave up a solo home run and a walk before leaving the game in the seventh. His last Double-A start came on 5/13 v AKR; Montero won the game after allowing two runs on eight hits over six innings. At NYSEG Stadium this season, Rafael is 2-2 with a 5.16 ERA in four starts. Prior to the 2013 season, he was ranked the #5 prospect in the Mets organization by Baseball America.

PORTLAND STARTING PITCHER: RHP Charlie Haeger makes his fifth start of the season for the Sea Dogs, and his first against the B-Mets. He lost his last start, 5/20 v NH, where he gave up four runs on seven hits over 6.2 innings. The righty is 1-1 with a 4.03 ERA in Double-A this season, and won his only game 5/10 @ NBR. Haeger began 2013 with Triple-A Pawtucket, and went 1-0 in two starts. Haeger was drafted in the 25th round of the 2001 draft by the White Sox. He is 2-7 in 34 games in the Major Leagues with the White Sox, Padres, and Dodgers.

WALK-OFF WINNER: Friday night was the first walk-off victory of the season for the B-Mets. The last two walk-off wins for Binghamton have come on fielding errors. The last came on 9/2/12 v TRN.

COMING FROM BEHIND: Opponents have scored first in each of the last four games. In games where the other team scores first, Binghamton is 12-13 this season.
