This is an interesting option.

Biggio is a high school kid out of Texas with great blood (son of Craig Biggio). Mot experts have him ranked as the top second baseman in the draft. In fact, most people have him as the only ranked second base prospect in the sport.

The son of the 7-time All-Star Craig, Cavan is a bit more physical than his father and shows a good understanding of how to hit. A left-handed swinger, Biggio squares the ball up consistently and shows a little bit of power potential as well. He starts with his hands held high and generates a quick, smooth line-drive plane with solid bat speed. He consistently barrels the ball up and while he's primarily a gap-to-gap guy at this point, there's a little bit of power potential for him down the road. He doesn't have a true defensive home, but Biggio is athletic enough to profile at, second, third or a corner outfield spot if necessary. His arm and speed are both average as he shows playable arm strength and runs the 60 in the 7.0 range. It's the bat you're buying here and Biggio's compact, refined swing combined with his advanced approach to hitting are sure to generate some interest from teams on Draft day. -
