BINGHAMTON STARTING PITCHER: RHP Erik Goeddel makes his 12th start of the season for the B-Mets, and his second consecutive start against Trenton. On June 4 at NYSEG Stadium, Goeddel tossed seven shutout innings as Binghamton topped Trenton 8-0. He allowed the first two base runners of the game to reach, but was locked in for the remainder of the start. He has won each of his last four decisions, and the B-Mets have won each of his last eight starts. In six starts on the road this season, Goeddel is 3-1 with a 4.78 ERA. He was drafted by the Mets in the 24th round of the 2010 draft out of UCLA.

TRENTON STARTING PITCHER: RHP Mikey O’Brien throws for the seventh time in 2013 as a member of the Trenton Thunder. His last start came against the B-Mets on June 6, and he earned the win after allowing six earned runs in five innings. All six runs were scored in the fifth inning against him. In two starts at home this season, he is 1-0 and has given up two earned runs in 12.0 innings pitched. Opponents are hitting .244 against him in 2013. He spent all of 2012 with the Thunder. In 19 starts, he went 5-7 with a 4.20 ERA. O’Brien was drafted by the Yankees in the ninth round of the 2008 draft out of Hidden Valley HS (Roanoke, VA).

In six games against Trenton in 2013, Puello has gone 11-for-22 with seven home runs, 12 RBI, and 11 runs scored.

SWEEP: Binghamton’s three-game sweep over Altoona was their second sweep of 2013. They also swept the Akron Aeros in a three-game set from May 13-15.

LOOKING FOR FIVE STRAIGHT: A win on Tuesday would give the B-Mets their fifth consecutive victory, matching their season-long winning streak. They won five straight games from May 12 - 17. This is the third time in 2013 Binghamton has won four straight games.

ANOTHER SAVE FOR WALTERS: B-Met closer Jeff Walters earned his 15th save of 2013 after tossing a scoreless ninth inning on Sunday. THE STREAK CONTINUES: Josh Rodriguez has hit safely in 21 consecutive games, stretching back to May 13. He is hitting .425 (34-80) during the streak, and has 17 RBI. Rodriguez is the fourth Eastern League player to hit in 21 consecutive games since 2009. Each of the previous three players had their streaks end at 21 games.
