The Rainiers defeated the 51s, 11-0, in the finale of the home-and-home eight-game series (Tacoma 5-games-to-3) before a Budweiser Dollar Beer Night crowd of 5,218 at Cashman Field...Right-hander Erasmo Ramirez tossed 8 shutout innings and allowed 5 hits, issued no walks and struck out 7...Right-hander Zack Wheeler suffered the loss despite a solid outing...he pitched 5.2 innings and allowed 1 hit, 1 run, walked 2 and struck out 7 on 85 pitches (52 strikes)...the only hit he allowed was with one out in the 5th inning...the 51s continue the eight-game homestand against Colorado Springs tomorrow evening at 7:05 p.m.
