B-Mets and Curve Suspended in Series Opener

B-Mets and Curve Suspended in Series Opener

BINGHAMTON, NY – Monday night’s game between the Binghamton Mets and the Altoona Curve was suspended in the bottom of the first inning due to inclement weather. The B-Mets and Curve will resume the contest on Tuesday at 5:05 PM.

Torrential rain forced the scoreless game to be halted with two outs and the bases clear in the home half of the first. The resumed game is scheduled to last nine innings. Tuesday’s regularly-scheduled game is set for seven innings.

Following a 30-minute delay, Erik Goeddel made it through a scoreless top of the first inning. The Curve threatened however, as they loaded the bases with the aid of a hit-by-pitch, error, and a walk.

In the bottom of the first, Danny Muno led off with a hard-hit ball over the centerfielder’s head. He tried to advance to third for a triple, but slid past the base and was tagged out. Josh Rodriguez then struck out, and the umpires pulled the teams off the field as the heavy rain struck Binghamton.

Fans can redeem tickets for any regular season B-Mets game excluding July 3rd.

POSTGAME NOTES: This is the third suspended game of the season for the B-Mets, which ties a single-season record
