Danny Muno Named League Player of the Week

 

BINGHAMTON, NY – Binghamton Mets infielder Danny Muno has been named the Eastern League Player of the Week for the period of July 1-7. Muno hit .417 (10-for-24) during the stretch, belted three home runs and led the league with 12 RBI. He highlighted his week with a career-high seven-RBI effort against the New Hampshire Fisher Cats on July 4.
Selected by the New York Mets in the 8^th round of the 2011 draft out of Fresno State University, Muno is in his first year at Double-A. The B-Mets starting second baseman has launched seven runs and collected 52 RBI this year. After a slow start, Muno has hit .327 since June 1.
Muno and the B-Mets (53-32) conclude their five-game series against the Fisher Cats on Monday afternoon at 12:05 PM. LHP Darin Gorski makes the start against LHP Sean Nolin. The Horizon Federal Credit Union Pregame Show on ESPN 1360 WYOS begins at 11:50 AM.
