Chris Schwinden (W, 6-9) gets the win: 6.0 IP, 3 R, 4 H, BB, 4 K.
The 51’s bull pen, Sean Henn, (1.0 IP) John Church, (1.0 IP) Greg Burke (0.2 IP) and Robert Carson (S, 9) (0.1 IP) holds the RedHawks scoreless the rest of the way, with only Carson giving up a hit.

Travis d’Arnaud: 1-2, 2 BB, R.
Kirk Nieuwenhuis: 2-5, 2B, RBI.
Matt den Dekker: 2-3, 2B, BB, RBI, R.

 

Binghamton (75-46) blasts Erie (63-56) 6-1.

A very solid start for Mark Cohoon: (W, 8-3) 6.0 IP, R, 5 H, BB, 3 K.
Chasen Bradford (2.0 IP, 2 K) and Adam Kolarek (1.0 IP, K) did not allow a base runner over the final 3 innings.

Another big game for Cory Vaughn: 2-5, HR, 4 RBI, R.
Travis Taijeron: 2-4, HR, 2B, RBI, R.
Danny Muno: 2-4, BB, 2 R.

 

St Lucie (62-49) nips Palm Beach (55-59) 9-8 with a run in the bottom of the 12th.

Alex Panteliodis: 4.2 IP, 7 R, 3 ER, 8 H, (HR) 2 BB, K.
Four Mets relievers, Randy Fontanez, Cody Satterwhite, T.J. Chism and Shawn Teufel (W,1-0) held the Cardinals in check, allowing only 1 more run, until the Mets were able to pull it out.

Kevin Plawecki: 1-4, BB, RBI, 2 R.
Dustin Lawley: 2-4, BB, RBI.
Jayce Boyd: 2-4, 2B, 2 BB, 2 RBI, R.
Gilbert Gomez: 3-6, 2B, 2 RBI, R.

 

Hickory (67-53) trips Savannah (68-47) 2-1.

Luis Cessa was tough: 4.2 IP, R, 3 H, 2 BB, 3 K.
Two relievers, Wanel Mesa (1.1 IP. 0 R, H, 3 K) and Tim Peterson (1.0 IP, 0 R, H) combined to keep the game tied at 1 until the 8th inning.
Hunter Carnivale (L, 0-3) pitched a perfect 8th inning, but a leadoff homer in the top of the 9th does him in.

David Wynn ( R, 2 H, BB, K) and Christian Chivilli (0 R, 0 H, BB, K) come in to pitch an inning each, and Juan Urbina then comes in and pitches a perfect 9th.

L.J. Mazzilli: 4-5, 2 RBI, 3 R. A big game for Lee’s son.
Alex Sanchez: 3-5, HR, 2 RBI, R.
Matt Oberste: 3-5.
Edward Rohan: 2-4, 2 2B, 2 R.

 

Kingsport (29-20) mauls Greeneville (32-17) 7-2.

Persio Reyes: (W, 4-3) 6.0 IP, 2 R, 5 H, 3 BB, 4 K.
Luis Rengel: 0 R, H, 2 BB, 3 K.
Robert Coles pitches a perfect 9th inning with 2 K.

Yeixon Ruiz: 2-4, BB, 2 R. The speedy switch hitting 22 year old Ruiz is hitting .331 with an OBP of .393 and 9 SB with only 1 CS. That works out to 36 SB and 4 CS for a full 162 game season.
Joe Tuschak: 2-4, 2B, 3 RBI.
Michael Bernal: 2-4, HR, 2 RBI, R.
