Las Vegas (70-57) crushes Salt Lake (74-55) 14-8.

 

Matt Fox,  in only 4.0 innings, gets rocked: 8 R, 9 H, 4 BB, K.

Tim Byrdak (2.0 IP, 2 H, 0 BB, 4 K) and Sean Henn (2,0 IP, H, BB, K) hold the fort through 8 innings.

Justin Hampson: 1.0 IP, 0 R, 0 H, BB, to finish it out.

 

Lucas Duda: 1-5, 2B, BB, 2 RBI, 2 R.

Zach Lutz: 2-5, HR, 2B, BB, 4 RBI, 2 R.

Matt den Dekker: 3-4, 2 HR, BB, 2 RBI, 3 R.

Juan Centeno: 3-5, RBI, 2 R.

Ruben Tejada: 3-6, 2B, 3 RBI, 2 R.

Binghamton (80-48) beats Bowie  (64-63) 3-2.

 

Darin Gorski: 7.0 IP, R, 6 H, 2 BB, 3 K. Nice outing.

Adam Kolarek pitched another scoreless inning: H, 2 K.

Jeff Walters (BS, 4) allowed the tying run to score: R, 2 H, 2 BB,K.

Chasen Bradford (W, 3- 1) closed it out, allowing 2 H with 1 K.

 

Blake Forsythe: 1-4, HR, RBI, R.

Richard Lucas: 1-3, HR, RBI, R.

Danny Muno:  2-4, R.

St Lucie - not scheduled.

Savannah (70-52) splits 2 with Augusta (72-53).

 

Game 1 goes to Savannah 3-2.

Seth Lugo (W, 2-0) in his 3rd start with Savannah, continues to pitch at a high level: 6.0 IP, 2 R, 5 H, (HR) BB, 3 K.

Paul Sewald (S, 6) pitches a perfect 7th inning with 2 K. Both Lugo (1.42) and Sewald (1.79) with sub 2.00 ERA’s.

 

Jeff Reynolds: 2-3, 2B, R.

Brandon Nimmo: 0-0, 3 BB, R.

Augusta takes the nightcap 4-0.

 

Jake Keubler: 3.0 IP, 0 R, 2 H, 2 BB, 2 K.

Wanel Mesa: (L, 1-2) 4 R, 3 ER, 4 H, 2 BB, 6 K.

Jeff Reynolds: 1-3, 2B.

Brandon Nimmo: 2-3.

Staten Island (24-35) and Brooklyn (30-29) divide a pair.

 

Before Game 1 there was a ceremony to rededicate the statue of Jackie Robinson and Pee Wee Reese in front of the ball park, which had been vandalized 2 weeks ago.

 

Brooklyn wins the opener 3-2.

Akeel Morris (W, 4-0) brought some serious heat: 6.0 IP, 0 R, 5 H, 3 BB, 5 K.

Cristian Chivilli had control issues, allowing 2 R on 3 H and 4 BB in 1.2 IP. Chivilli was fortunate to emerge with only 2 runs allowed. After a single and a walk in the top of the 7th, Chivilli needed all of his 6’2” height to snag a hard hit line drive heading toward center field and double the runner off second base.

After Chivilli had walked the bases loaded, David Wynn was brought in. Wynn promptly gave up a line drive single to left field, and left fielder Jared King threw a strike to catcher Edward Rohan to nip the potential tying run at the plate.

Alex  Sanchez: 2-2, 3B, BB, R.

Edward Rohan: 1-1, 2B, BB, R.

 

Staten Island wins the 2nd game 5-2.

Kevin McGowan: (L, 0-2) 3.0 IP, 3 R, 3 H, 2 BB, 4 K.

 

Thomas Nido: 1-3, 2B, 2 RBI.

L.J. Mazzilli: 1-3, 3B.

Kingsport (32-25) trips Burlington (26-31) 6-5.

 

A rough outing for starter Yoan Gonzalez: 4-2 IP, 5 R, 4 ER, 9 H, 2 BB, 5 K.

A fine outing for reliever Robert Coles: (W, 3-1) 2.0 IP, 0 R, H, 0 BB, 2 K.

 

Jeff Diehl: 3-4, RBI, 2 R.

Eris Peguero: 2-4, 2B, RBI, R.

Amed Rosario: 1-4, 3B, 2 RBI.

GCL Cardinals (22-29) maul GCL Mets (16-35) 7-1.

 

Andrew Church (L, 2-3) was bombed: 5.2 IP, 6 R, 5 ER, 12 H, (HR) BB, 2 K.

 

Leon Canelon: 1-4, 2B, RBI.

 

DSL Yankees (39-26) top DSL Mets1 (19-48) 7-5.

 

The 4th Mets pitcher, Randinson Suazo, (L, 1-4) allows 5 runs without giving up a hit, but yielding 5 walks in 0.2 innnings.

 

Edwin Diaz: 1-4, RBI, 2 R.

 

DSL Mets2 (42-25) trample DSL Rangers (48-18) 7-1.

 

Scarlin Reyes, (W, 5-3) looking very  impressive, goes 7.1 innings: R, 3 H, 2 BB, 7 K.

Wimbert Martinez: 1.2 IP, 0 R, H, BB, K.

 

John Mora: 2-4, 2B, 2 RBI.

Alvin Maracaro: 3-4, 2B, 2 RBI, R.

Gregory Valencia: 1-3, BB, 2 R.

Miguel Leal: 1-3, BB, 2 R.
