PORT ST. LUCIE, FLA. — Rylan Sandoval had a walk-off infield single to score Kevin Plawecki in the tenth inning as the Mets defeated the Palm Beach Cardinals 5-4.

Sandoval delivered the game-winning hit on his 26th birthday, which was a broken bat slow grounder to second.

Kyle Johnson had three hits with a run scored and Kevin Plawecki had two hits and a run scored with an RBI.

Dustin Lawley hit a three-run home run in the third inning and now has 24 home runs and 86 RBIs to lead the Florida State League.

Hansel Robles pitched six innings and allowed four runs and seven hits with four walks and four strikeouts.

Bret Mitchell pitched two scoreless innings and struck out four.

T.J. Chism tossed two scoreless innings and struck out one to pick up the victory.

The Mets will host Palm Beach on Sunday at 1:00 p.m. at Tradition Field. Alex Panteliodis is the scheduled starter for the Mets.
