After the 2013 Major League Baseball season is over, NY Yankees 2B Robinson Cano will be a free agent this offseason. Despite having a slumping season at this stage of his career, there is no question he is one of the best players on the Yankees roster. So far in his eight year career, his career batting stats of .307 hitting, .354 OBP, 789 RBI’s, and 199 HR’s show he is absolutely needed to stay with the team for the long-term picture. He has been stated as interested in testing the market to see what kind of deals other teams will offer. The question is, will the Yankees be able to keep Cano?

The mets should go all in on Cano. 8yr 200 mil...
Then trade montero, flores, nimo, Matz and lara for Tulowitzski... Keep the outfield lagares, young and den dekker.. With wright, Ike and d'arnaud finishing out the field. Defensively we will be awesome and that would bump up our payroll 45 mill next year.... Ok someone pinch me so I can wake up
We all dream of Mets ownership and management operating this way, but it simply isn't going to happen.
