LAST GAME: The B-Mets defeated the New Hampshire Fisher Cats, 6-2 on Sunday night at NYSEG Stadium. Josh Rodriguez went 3-for-3 and put Binghamton on the board with an RBI single in the third. Lance Zawadzki responded with a two-run home run in the fifth, but the B-Mets took the lead for good in the sixth. Allan Dykstra blasted his 21st home run of the season to give Binghamton the lead for good. In the seventh, they added three unearned runs against reliever Chad Beck. The first run scored on a throwing error, and back-to-back sac flies cushioned the lead. Logan Verrett threw five innings in a no-decision. Jim Fuller added two scoreless innings and picked up the win. Frank Francisco and Adam Kolarek finished the game and preserved the lead.

BINGHAMTON STARTER: LHP Mark Cohoon makes his 21st start of the season and second against New Hampshire. He also threw in two games out of the bullpen earlier in the season against the Fisher Cats. His last start only lasted two innings against the Bowie Baysox. He didn’t allow any runs in the outing, but was removed from the game after a two-hour rain delay. In 11 starts at NYSEG Stadium, Cohoon is 5-2 with a 4.50 ERA. The lefty holds the franchise record in wins (23), innings pitched (384.1), games started (65), and strikeouts (270). He was drafted by the Mets in the 12th round of the 2008 draft out of North Central Texas College.

NEW HAMPSHIRE STARTER: RHP Marcus Stroman makes his 20th start of the season for the Fisher Cats, and second against the B-Mets. He beat the B-Mets on July 7 after allowing two runs in seven innings. The righty has received a decision in each of his last six starts, including a loss to the Portland Sea Dogs in his last start. He gave up five runs in three innings pitched. In 10 starts on the road, Stroman went 4-2 with 3.57 ERA. In 2012, he threw eight games out of the bullpen for the Fisher Cats, and went 2-0. The Blue Jays drafted him in the 1st round (22nd pick) of the 2012 draft out of Duke University.

FRANCHISE RECORD: The 2013 Binghamton Mets have a franchise record 86 wins. Their previous high was 82 victories, set in 1994, 1998, and 2000. The B-Mets have clinched a playoff spot for the first time since 2004, and clinched the regular season division title for the first time since 2000.

ANNUAL TEAM AWARDS: Before last night’s game, the B-Mets handed out their Annual Team Awards.
