Wednesday night at Citi Field, Josh Satins 2 run single with two outs in the bottom of the 9th inning competed a 4 run comeback in the 9th…the Mets shock the Giants 5-4. Aaron Harang started for the Mets and for the second straight outing his strike out pitch was working, but the home run ball came into play as well. In the third inning Gregor Blanco made it 2-nothing with a 2 run shot, his 3rd on the year. In the 4th an error by Andrew Brown on a ball hit by Blanco scored Brandon Crawford with the games third run. The Giants took a 4-nothing lead in the 5th on an rbi single by Crawford.  Josh Satin broke up the shut out with a sac-fly in the 8th. Then the Mets  staged their unpresented 4 run rally in the 9th. Off Sergio Romo , pinch hitter Zack Lutz hit an rbi single to make it 4-2. Rookie catcher Juan Centeno got an infield single to short s3top to score Juan Lagares with the 3rd run.  That set up Satin to be the hero driving in his 2nd and 3rd runs on the night to win it. Harang went 5 innings, he allowed 6 hits 4 runs (3 earned) he walked three and struck out 8. He gets the no-decision but it’s worth noting that in his 11 innings pitched with the Mets Harang has struck out 18. Vic Black who pitched a scoreless top of the 9th gets the win he’s now 2-0. Cain who is in the midst of an off year was sharp, going  7 2/3 allowing 6 hits, 1 run (none earned) he walked  none and struck out 6. Romo blows his 5th save of the year takes the loss, he’s now 4-8. The Mets now stand at 68-83 on the year and 32-44 at home. Thursday afternoon the Mets try to take this three game series. Jon Niese (7-7  3.88) who’s been terrific since coming off the disabled list goes for the Mets. The Giants best hurler this season Madison Bumgarner (12-9  2.83) toes the rubber for SF. https://www.facebook.com/MetsForum
