7-2-13 - 2014 Top 100 High School Prospects  - 41. Greg Deichmann- SS, Brother Martin (LA) HS http://www.ninebaseball.org/Wordpress/jeff-sullivans-top-100-2014-prospects/

7-24-13  -  Gregory Deichmann, ss, Brothers Martin, Metairie, La./Marucci Elite - Deichmann has a lean and athletic 6-foot-2, 180-pound build. The lefthanded hitting LSU commit has impressive bat speed and is one of the top power bats in the class. He has raw power to all fields and can put on a show in batting practice, especially to his pull side. With two home runs during TOS, Deichmann matched the total all of 144 players from last year’s event. Deichmann is a fluid, rangy athlete with good lateral actions and defensive prowess. He has turned in a tick above-average 60-yard-dash times this summer and has shown arm strength. http://www.baseballamerica.com/draft/tyler-koleks-heavy-fastball-among-tournament-of-stars-standouts/

7-25-13 – Top 30 High School Prospects For 2014 Draft - 26. Greg Deichmann, SS, Brother Martin HS (LA) - 6'2/180, L/R, Draft Day Age: 19.02, LSU commit, Full Report - Quick Take: Deichmann has shown impressive and middling performances already this summer. He puts on a nice BP display with lefty power that projects for average to go with above average speed and a glove that likely settles at third base long-term. He's hit a couple homers in heavily-scouted games already this summer but also has struck out a lot and is one of the older players in the class. http://sbb.scout.com/2/1310090.html

2013 East Coast Pro Showcase Top 50 Prospects    - 44. Greg Deichmann – INF, Brother Martin (LA) HS - Didn’t have a great week, but still has the tools and the big time power bat. http://www.ninebaseball.org/Wordpress/sullys-top-50-ecp-prospects/

8-14-13 – Through The Fence – Top 50 Prospects – 41. Greg Deichmann, SS, Brothers Martin HS (LA) - Left-handed hitting power shortstops are a nice commodity to have, and the 6’-2”, 190-pound Deichmann has a chance to stick at short due to his strong arm, speed and instincts in the field. He has excellent bat speed and can put on displays in the cage during batting practice. Even if he ends up at third, the power and arm will play well. Committed to USC. http://throughthefencebaseball.com/2014-mlb-draft-top-50-prospects/36463#mwWwsFxSUZy7YC5V.99

8-15-13 - Under Armour All-Star Game – Greg Dieschman, SS: Another power bat from the SS position, Dieschman does his thing fromt the left side.  He has good power, which he generates with very good bat speed.  He's not as prodiguous a power hitter as Gatewood, but he is faster, more athletic, and has a better shot of sticking at SS. http://www.chicagonow.com/cubs-den/2013/08/2014-mlb-draft-ua-game-roster-and-preview-plus-more-tickets-and-meet-up-information/
